because I imagine them as being totally dorky and stupid while playing music. they're dorky and stupid all the time anyway, but with instruments it looks extra funny.

I seriously needed a break from digital coloring, which I've been doing for some time lately, as I got a commission to do which I can't show yet, it was a gift for someone. the markers I got from my friends have been a great distraction from constant staring at the screen, but I still wanted to shape something. preferably featuring things from my own head, not someone else's characters. and that means sketch time. I missed sketching. for my own enjoyment.

this was done for various reasons. first, I wanted something silly and loose. second, I noticed that I haven't had a chance to draw a guitar since that convention poster, which was MONTHS ago. not good, made drawing it really painful this time>< third, thes should show the difference in body built, especially between Maes and Nash. I know that at least one person will complain that Maes looks like a skeleton, but he's supposed to look like this. and I'm finally comfortable drawing a skinny character not caring about emphasising his every muscle.
