that's right, I'm using my musical band as practice material^^; and this time I used Bruce. to be honest he was the most difficult for me. because he's huge. and when I say huge, I mean both in heights as well as mass, width of shoulders and all. he's generally bulky and thus, making him move is difficult, to maintain size of his chest and arms. and he's a swimmer in my story, and making swimming look dynamic is still difficult for me. and drawing someone on a bike is ridiculously difficult><
baseball shot exclusively for [livejournal.com profile] randran because for next couple of months she'll be deprived of Oofuri madness^^;
now shoot at me! anything you can think about that I could correct. I love you guys for it^^

these are very fun. I like them a lot.

in the crossed arms picture his head looks a touch small and in the swimming one his jaw a tad too sharp on the right angle but these are minor

the bike and the baseball ones are outstanding

thank you!

hmm, maybe a tiny bit, you're right>< strange, when I draw them they don't look so small as after I scan them><

These are great. Bruce is so massive. I forget whose son he is, hahaha... I can't keep them straight at all.

My two critiques. His baseball mitt, I think is too small. In fact, his hand shape inside of it, seems to be the same size as his hand should be. A modern baseball mitt extends out and around the hand pretty significantly. Let's see what it was like in Bruce's time. If Ed burned his house down in 1910, saved the world in say... 1917 and these kids are mostly adult or nearly adult, then it must be approaching 1940, right? Gloves were smaller then, but not that small. They were still almost twice as big as the hand at that point. Here's some pictures to study:

Here's a nice picture of a 1930s Wilson glove:

Here's a Museum piece of a glove from the late1930's to about 1940

Bruce on the bike. That tiny bike just makes him look even bigger. He needs a much bigger frame on his bike. Though it looks like it's got more to do with the geometry of the frame, the seat is too low for him being right down on the frame, and the main inverted triangle of the frame is too wide and short, The length of the bike is right, but the height is too low for him. Maybe he borrowed it hahah... but most bikes that top bar is higher. there is *usually* a space between the front downward sloping bar and the top level bar. There's a little bar there that the front forks and steering tube attach up through, and that's where most manufacturers put their maker's mark. Look at my userpic to see what I mean.

Anyway, those are the only two things I can really see, and they have less to do with the BODIES and more with the external details huh? hahaha.

thanks! he's Havoc's son but Armstrong's nephew and that came more from this side of the family^^;

thank you! I was having trouble with his mitt, redrew it a few times>< I've never seen a real one so it was hard for me to imagine. and as you said, the story is set around 1930-1940 so I figured it should be smaller than modern ones. guess it turned out too small^^;

I know it looks horribly out of geometry/size>< but this was seriously my first time drawing a bike, and in perspective>< will train on that more, I promise^^ thank you for pointing those out! details maybe, but important ones! thanks alot once again! <333
