PRECISELY. I do not think it is a coincidence that my favorite fandoms (Currently: Avatar, the Last Airbender, FMA, and Percy Jackson) all told their stories and then ended. It makes me sad that it's over, but I love knowing that there is a complete story there that was successfully told. But it's so hard to say goodbye...

yeah, it's a waste for a story if it's pointlessly extended, just to earn more>< the way FMA is, it's better because the story is complete, makes sence and, hopefully, will satisfy everyone. although, it'll be such an awkward feeling not having to wait for next chapters and episodes regularly........

Geez, I'm so sad that it's going to end but I'm sure the memories of the 5 years I've spent with this manga will live on in my mind until the rest of my life. So yeah all of this to say I share the same feelings. Happy birthday to the almighty cow!

Actually, this way I respect her even more. She seems to be able to resist the temptation to drag out on the ending just because it would be possible and instead end it while it's on top. Hopefully she has new, good ideas up her sleeves. Even if I seriously fear it's going to be hard to get something of equal quality, even for her.

108th chapter will end exactly 9 years of serialization. I have been with the series for more or less 7 years^^; but you're right, time flies fast ;_;

that's exactly why I stick to it still and left bleach and naruto^^; she's determined to finish it with the original plan, doesn't extend it to earn as much as possible (heck, she has 2 TV series based on her single manga, I bet she earns enough to live a peaceful life now>< )
not only her, I'll have a hard time finding a series that will influence me as much as it did ;_;

Oh. You see how bad of a fanboy I am, not even knowing that ^^; But then again, I think I didn't got into FmA until the first anime had started, so I guess it's around 7 years for me too then. And to think that my first reaction when I started to read the manga was something like "Uh, somewhat odd style. But I guess I get used to it. Maybe." XD

Yes, series like that doesn't exactly come everyday, that's true. But that's part of what makes them special too.
