I have a new room mate...

he's 10 weeks old, doesn't have a name yet and is not even mine==; one girl living in a room below mine brought him in, right now she's going home for some class meeting and he stays with me. he's occupying my bed at the moment..... and I'm not even a cat person^^;

Oh but he's wonderful! ^_^ I especially like the 'under the cushion' shot. That's very nice. I'm especially fond of tabbies. My Orangy Porangy is an an orange tabby. (She's rare. Most (like 75% of by one telling, more like 95% by others) orange (ginger or red) tabbies are male. The gene that causes male oranges normally causes tortoiseshell in females as I understand it. If you dig through her hair though you can find an occasional black hair, so technically, she is tortoiseshell... just with almost no black at all.

Your new roommate looks like a real darling little romper. Have fun with him while you have him.

tabbies are most common here but, as much as I can remember, I have never seen orange ones O_o so your cat must be quite a looker^^

he's a little devil, but can be a darling too^^ unfortunately for other girls, he likes my room too much^^;

He's probably pretty young, because he's got that long lanky teenage look to him. My Orangy Porangy (her real name is Lady Galadriel Starfire) is stockier being as she's full grown. She's getting old enough now (9 years) that I have to watch what she eats and measure how much or she will get fat. I thought I had a picture of her somewhere on the web but I guess not. Remind me and I'll look when I get home from work.

And I am a cat person, maybe because I have had a cat in the family for all my life until 2006. But I'm also nowadays thinking the occasional borrowed cats to cuddle with are the best solution, since I can't really stand when they get sick. ^^;

Well, he's young. I suppose he's got a world to explore (a.k.a. your room? XD) and don't have time for all that much cuddling.

Dogs are nice too, but I'm under the impression that they take more work than cats and I'm too lazy for that ^^; Or too soft to raise a dog properly, maybe ^^; My aunt's dog's were kind of nice though.

Yes, our second cat (who was part of my life from 1988 to 2006) had a somewhat sensitive stomach, so he got a little ill now and then. But it is when they get old and sickly that's really crushing my heart. ^^; Having cats "on loan" is better in that way I think, so nowadays I take my cat-petting chances when I visit my sister.
