Haha, now I can tell what was that what chained you to the monitor to watch the whole 10 episodes :D

The first two episodes caused mixed feelings in me, like you know from my comment some time ago.
My friend go hooked on it so it somehow urged me to watch some more, and after 2 more episodes I got totally charmed. It's the point when the characters cease to be just empty sprites walking on the screen and you start to understand them and became attracted. For me it was when the affections started to develop between the main charcters ( i'm a romance whore hehe). I even started to like Shery, who at first seemd just another synthetic arrogant celebrity, but later on my image of her changed to a more human one.

I was totally chamed by the scene of her concert paralleled by the space battle with the vjera. It just looked so cool with the lyrics started popping at the side of the screen and it gave me the feel that 'the pilot's job is to fight and singer job is to sing' - ahh so epic XD
It was always the hallmark of the Macross series , those majestic space battles intertwined with spectacular concerts.

I even scoured the internet searching for these songs, not to mention that I memorized some of the lyrics ;D

hey, it's partly your fault that I watched it^^; you had your communicator set for "got hooked on MF" so I thought that maybe I could like it too^^

actually, first 2 episodes made me fall in love with the series almost instantly. aaaahhh those fighting sequences, beautiful animation and design. composer of the music is a cherry at top of the cake^^

and then characters came into light. pretty, adorable, innocent (most of them^^;). alto had my heart the moment he spoke. somehow I'm loving his seiyuu^^ Ranka was a bit wierd at the beginning, but later on I found her adorable, her getting closer to Alto especially. as for Sheryl, I found her annoying at first (am not fond of celebrities) but later on she became actually cute and charming^^ still some of her methonds unnerve me and make me question if it's the right way but still, she's fallen in love, she has to fight for it. if only she wasn't using her fame as a way to get everything==;

aaah songs are available on the soundtrack^^ all so pretty ;_; especially the ending, I have goosebums everytime I hear it^^
