thanks to knp01 I started playing with my layout a bit. wanted to change something. and that single scene deserves sooo much....


if any of you knows how to move ads from one side to the bottom for example, I'd be really grateful. need to get back to basic account because they were ruining the whole composition^^;

layout credited, need to work on it still^^

however, the layout code is bad, and i don't understand why there are so many elements in the css. needs to be repaired, badly.

Hey, it's not your fault the custom journals are all whacked up in its code! And some are better than others. The basic idea of this one you have is nice, it's just the code that doesn't exactly seem to promising when it comes to start changing it ^^;

And if I am to say something, I think you should aim for a side-ad layout anyway. It looks less bad than having an ad at top I think. (But then, I'm kinda biased since that's how I chose to have my layout ^^;) Sidebar ad and then a nice web browser that blocks the ads make for an almost clean as-you-want-it page ^^

ad at the top takes too much attention, I'd prefer to have it either on the bottom or on one side, like you said.
do you know such nice browser? it'd deffinetely help in the process

Mm, I'd say pretty much all browsers except IE can be made to hide ads in different ways. You really don't have it already?! I thought Firefox with Adblock plug-in was almost standard by now ^^; Of course, browsers doesn't solve the actual layout problem on the site, but at least it hides them from your eyes.

btw sis based her journal on my polish blog, but my code is prettier^^'' even if it doesn't look as good under IE. well, i don't like IE and don't consider it a web browser. even browser on my mobile phone is more standard - compliant=='' i'll need to make this one from the scratch as soon an i'll have some free time.

mmm, yes, that code is definitely prettier ^^ (and of course I had to check in IE too just to see the wreck... >< IE is a program first and foremost made to torment web developers I think. And that it is very good at! -_-)

Coding from scratch is always the nicest thing, but I don't know if LJ allow for that. Back when I redesigned I think I had to keep to css or partial rewrites.

oh, it's not THAT bad... wait, it is;P that's why i have "best viewed on anything but IE" on my blog's footer. and recent news that microsoft want web developers to prepare websites for IE8 just makes me smile. thank God that there are alternative browsers. (but it's not like i don't like anything made by microsoft, i just don't like IE^^)

So that's why I thought it didn't really looked like Allen ^^; But the piano fooled me. (That, and the fact that I have no knowledge of soul eater XD)

Having spent hours last night rewriting web code, I didn't even dare to look at the source code for this before. But ouch, you're right. That layout gives me headache just looking at it ^^; A mix of old and new code styles it seems. And even with all that css there's still style coding in the tags >< It needs some cleaning, yes!
