the whole episode was made of pure WIN. everything was just perfect. especially that last fight O_O throwing galaxies at each other O_O
the ending was marvelous as well, in spite of my broken heart too ;_; I WAS expecting it to be a bitter sweet finale, but heck, solving it that way, that close to an end, and in a scene that gives SO MUCH HOPE!!! T^T
the after ending epilogue was very fitting, even if some people say it was crap. each and every character got a role fitting him/her, some looked strange, some unchanged XDDD but that was cute too! heeey!! portraying a character that started as a 14-year-old, now as a 40something-year-old is NOT that easy! and I think that they did great (somehow gave us reasons to think over some characters' origins XDD)
speaking of TTGL finale

am I the only person reminded of Sadamoto's art style by this scene?? seriously, everything here screams YS. hair, eyes, shape of faces, hell, even Nia's hand!! or maybe I'm just a freak O_o
aaaaand changing the subject, some art dump
wanted to try a few things:
perspective
clothing

FAILED misserablyyyyy DX
ignore the fact that colors look off, my scanner's fault. BUT!!! working on this picture reminded me about one important detail: DO NOT USE SOFT PAPER WHEN WORKING WITH PENCILS!!!! I need TEXTURE of the paper to let my colors blend properlyyyy!!!!! DAAAMMMNNNN ;_;
ok, after calming down a bit I need a bit of criticism from you. especially regarding perspective. soo. I think that the girl looks fairly nice there - perspectively-wise. however. I have a great difficulty working on MALES in such perspective. so I'd love you till the end of my life (and even longer) if you could tell me if they look good or bad, and if you had some useful tips for me. THANK YOU FOR 10000000000 TIMESSS
why am I always ruining my linearts by coloring them?? ;_;

Date: 2007-10-02 08:17 pm (UTC)In my inexperienced eyes I would say the perspective isn't particularly bad. And if anything, the thing that caught my eyes before I read the text was an eventual perspective-thing with the girl, not the males who as far as I can tell look good perspective-wise (and good in other ways as well for that matter XD). The only thing would be that the male to the right (from my POV) seem to have a pretty large hand (the little visible of it that isn't in his pocket, that is).
The thing with the girl was that I at first thought her crotch looked kind of "long", but the more I look at it I think it might just be the perspective in combination with her wearing high-cut pants, so don't pay too much attention to me on that one.
I would also say that the pic is kind of focusing on their crotch areas, and then especially the girl's, but speaking as a male, that might not only be the pic perspective's doing... ^^ And in any case there's nothing wrong with that. This last comment is more a case of my mind reflecting over things it shouldn't be. XD
And you're not ruining your linearts by adding colors. Besides, an easy way to solve that would be to make two versions ^^
All in all I don't think I'm much of a help here. ^^; But you'll have to take my comments for what they are, and I hope you have people better suited to give advice on the drawing-technical parts around.
