a few days ago I was talking with a friend and she wanted desperately to draw something. but apparently failed at her try^^;; and she asked me then "please tell me your drawins were crappy when you were younger XDDD" I said then "you bet XDDDDDDDDDDDDD"

and out of curiosity i dig out my old drawing folders..... and oh boy what I saw XDDDD

one of my first character designs^^;;;; done in year 1997.... and when I saw it I laughed out LOUD XDDD look at the proportions!! hair!! and facial features!!! LOOOL I was such a n00b XDDDDD and after finding it I decided to redo that drawing to see the difference

now please judge yourself how much one's style can change during..... 9 years....... oh boy XDDD

and I have even older manga drawings but I WILL NOT show them to you as they're even crappier XDD

There is a difference but I still say wow that was from 9 years old is still awesome! I wish I drew like that all of those years ago. Either way that is kick ass. ^__^

Oh memories of old art. I'm the same way. I keep old stuff to laugh at latter, yet I still like many things about old idea's and concepts, so I keep to revise later.

The old one is more like the usual generic manga style, yes, but I wouldn't exactly call it crappy. It's way to good for that XD I think your talent was visible already back then. ^^ But that said, you sure have evolved as an artist! The new one has a distinct style. I mean, the old one is general manga style, and the new is your style. And your style sure is a wonderful one! ^^

well thank you very much for complimenting^^ it sure is interesting to see how much time can change^^ it's true that the first one is in generic style, it was one of my first attempts at drawing something in that style and because at that time I watched Sailor Moon and series like that, it had it's influence on my drawings^^

Honestly, both look great but of course, the latter is better because of the improvements and stuff ^_^

well it is crap for me^^; everyone has their own opinion about their works and everyone has different style and ability. so you cannot really compare 2 people's drawings^^ and besides, I bet we're not the same age XDDD
