sketches this time, because I need to work on my speed, technique and style...... all of it needs some REALLY HARD WORK>< I'm rusty ;_;




it's obvious the upper one was drawn first^^; I was using a too short pencil and didn't really have a speciffic idea for this page^^; just some random sketches to train different expressions and situations^^; the second one is better in my opinion, but still not good enough^^;

because I'm really jealous of megan_uosiu's style, I've been trying to draw in a similar way, but after many many failed attempts, decided to stick with my own style. maybe I can do something nice with it^^;

See... I went to look at that style! hahah... and while the subject matter is nice and all, I really really like YOUR style. I like it better, and I also love your subject matter.

Even though these are just sketchy, I love them. My favorite is Ed being harassed while he's trying to chill on the couch and read. I adore the perspective on it. This one in the bottom left hand corner of the first page, it looks like they're watching a scary movie... really scary... I love how you capture their expression and body language so well.

Don't call it rubbish. It's all some very good study work. Personally I really like sketchy stuff like this too. I mean I like finished polished work also, but seeing int sketchy is fun too because it leave some to the imagination too.

aawww thank you very much, you're too nice =^^= her sketching style is amazing, every part looks like a finished work, that's what I envy her^^; and her characters are really flexible and dynamic, unlike mine^^;

thank you^^ just to make things clear, that's not Ed^^; I know they look similar and all (not without a reason) so sorry for confusing you^^; to be honest, the ones you picked are also one of my favourites^^ especially the movie one, that came out better than I thought^^;

sketches sometimes look much better than the finished work^^; personally I love watching sketches because it shows more or less how the artist thinks and works. so I'm happy you enjoyed them^^ maybe I'll be posting more stuff like this^^

Ah, I seriously almost put a (?)after "Ed" because I wasn't sure either. But it seemed so much like him in form and also personality (buried in a book veinpopping from being bothered etc) that I thought he might be and AU Ed. That it's not doesn't make me like the composition less.

Funny, I was just looking at megan_uosiu's stuff and the first that I thought was that hers and your sketches aren't all that different after all ^^; True, some of her work have a somewhat different visual style, but the keyword is "different", not "better". but I must admit that tiger of hers is just super cute! ^^;

They are sketches, they're not really meant to be impressive (and even so, they are ^^). And anyone can NOT come up with those. Trust me on that.
