fandom is lame
the reason for me writing it is simple. in the middle of each month, for past 7 years, certain cow has blessed us with one chapter. for me, those are one of the greatest moments of my otaku life. seriously, I HATE series that are too long, because usually, more than 52 episodes of an anime and more than 150 chapters of a manga, streach it to unbearable state. the plot has holes, characters become boring and such. unless the author has a great idea for his/her story...
but recently, my faith for fandom has died. while reading posts on LJ regarding latest Gundam 00 episodes or FMA chapters, it seems to me that people are only looking for "shallow entertainment" in media nowadays. they only care for action, explosions, etc. no need for intelligent plot, characters' development, establishing relationships and introducing secondary characters. when I read statements like "Graham is the only worthy thing in there, the rest is totally pointless" or "it's only worth reading when Roy and Ed are presend, otherwise it's boring" I want to smash someone's head. well sorry!! Graham is kickass, true, but why don't you pay a little attention to the world portrayed, conflicts, relations between countries and fighting fractions? why don't you care for unexpected developments or for other characters taking active part in forming upcoming results? I'm really sorry that you don't care for Hohenheim declaring war to Father or for Marcoh defeating Envy. I know that all you care for is Lockon making up with Setsuna, Graham or whoever else and Ed or Roy just being on panels, not really doing anything. don't get me wrong. Lockon is my fav in G00 universe and Ed is my Fav in FMA universe. but it pains me that people judge a series by amount of yaoi hints, not appreciating interesting universe and scenario. but maybe I'm just growing old....

LOOOOL a new discovery for him XDDDD
I'm not sure why it's so in fashion now either. it's not a matter of ideoligy anymore, it's just trendy.... what pains me because now us hetero fans are in minority it seems..... yeah, fandom is wierd X_x

Poor Chazwell. He was so appalled.
My friends made a very good living printing and selling slash fanfic zines. Okay, there were more in their stables than just slash but that's where they made their big money, back in the day.
(completely off topic - it's difficult typing with a dog in your lap.*points at icon*)

that's why I threw away an idea of making a doujinshi, it wouldn't sell at all ;_;
(hahaha let the doggy write something from time to time^^ how many do you owe anyway?)
no subject
Awwww, but I'd love to see you do a doujin...*puppy eyes*
I currently have three li'l doggies, though I've had as many as six. Anything less than three isn't any fun, as far as I'm concerned.

really?? O_O I never thought about it, first of all I should think up a story, and that's not easy at all><
aaahhh but they're rather small right? so you can manage keeping them at home. we have a big one, so it's not possible to have more^^

Heee, if you want, take one of mine and draw it. *laughs*
Rogue's in the icon. Yeah, they're all little dogs, two miniature Schnauzers and a Dachshund cross, though I once had an Irish Wolfhound and four little dogs all at the same time (four miniature Schnauzers and a little long-haired mutt).
no subject
eeehhh, could I? *_*
aaaaahhh so that's her name^^ you have such a big family^^
but wait... isn't Wolfhound kind of..... big?? O_o wasn't he quarreling alot with the small ones?
no subject
Sure! I'd be tickled pink!
Yeah, I've got lots and lots of little dogs. Not enough, I always want more.
The Wolfhound was huge. He was also a coward and when the little dogs barked at him, he'd crawl into my lap. Which would make the little dogs bark more. Do you see a vicious circle, here? *laugh*
