post full of randomness
first of all, thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday! I know I didn't comment on all your posts, but I did see them, and I'm very grateful for your wishes <333
it wasn't much of a birthday really, so there's nothing really worth mentioning, BUT, there's one funny thing. some time ago my mom got an orchid as a good-bye gift when she was fired from her job. she doesn't like them so she gave it to me. I've been taking care of it since. once, I commented that of all flower plants orchids are the only ones that I like. so on my birthday both my grandma and mom bought me new orchids... so now I have 3... the old one dropped its flowers a month ago, and I had to cut out around half of its roots (because they were rotten) so it doesn't look very effective now, but the other two are beautiful^^
the weekend was filled with stuffing this time. on friday we had a barbecue party at colleague's place, and I felt like a pig afterwards, so much eating>< then, yesterday, we celebrated my mom's name's day, so it was another round of stuffing>< because of it, I didn't feel like jogging or drawing at all, so I sat down and... watched 5 Harry Potter movies^^; yes I'm lame, laugh at me, I don't care.
while watching the movies, I remembered why I hated Rowling at the end of book 7. she made so many random choices to tie up everything. I won't mention the deaths, because I wanted to rip apart my book when Hedwig was killed, but there's one thing I remembered while watching the movies. Harry and Ginny. so yes, I know that Ginny had a teenage crush on him, I know that he saved her life once or twice, I know that she's his best friend's sister and all, but... I never got why it had to be her, it felt so out of place and sudden. and I remembered that the only girl I liked with Harry during the books and movies was... Luna. she was weird, true, but they understood each other, sometimes even without words. there was just so much chemistry between them>< I'm not ever sure that there are any other people considering this pairing as possible but yes, that's what I would've preferred to happen at the end:/ random comment, but I had to get it out
some drawings I need to post here:
first is the commission I did some time ago on DA, and never posted it here. it's the first time I did such a dreadful drawing, with someone dead and so much blood o_o but it was really fun, even though I felt a little sick while looking up blood pictures on google^^;
second is the picture I did for one of Polish summer conventions. it was the first time I was asked to do such illo, and probably the last anyway^^; I'm not one of those famous artists here, and nobody wants to have pictures done by someone nobody knows^^; it also pains me, that I've spent over a week working on it, and almost nobody gives a damn. I know I shouldn't care about it, but it hurts when you pour all your heart into something and there's no response. and I really did give my best working on it, spent so many hours trying to figure out how I can make it so nobody regrets giving me this task and so I can at least get close to previous artists' level. sometimes it seems to me that artists, if they're not well known, are only appreciated when they draw fanarts of popular series.

And you know western storytelling - every story needs to be neatly wrapped up, all pairing up done and all that. Which can be neat, I admit that. But sometimes the more open endings can be very nice to. That teenage fangirl-class fanfic writing that was the epilogue is, well, an odd thing. to put it mildly ^^;
Someone needs to commission you to do a piece with cute kittens and orchids. Much healthier google research for you ^^

hey, even eastern stories come with closed endings. but if you decide to make it so, you should consider your wroty as a whole, and wrap it up in a manner that makes sense><
oh no, that'd be very unhealthy search. because that way I'd suffer from kitties' overload^^;
