those who have not seen "300" or "the girl who leapt through time" won't get the internal joke XDDD (like me for example, I have not seen "300" so it wasn't THAT clear to me that this is Leonidas, and Makoto looked like an Azumanga girl to me^^;

As for the pic, I haven't seen neither of them, so can't say much about it. More than that the it somehow stands pretty good on its own I think XD And when you mention it, you're right about the Azumanga flavour of the schoolgirl. Or maybe it's just me being stupid too XDD
