something promised but also a surprise

because I promised her that I'd draw one of her characters, Heike, the light haired guy sitting by the table. but then I went a little overboard and...several other of her characters made it to the page^^; but they are soooo fun to draw! (difficult too, but usually drawing someone else's OCs is difficult^^;)

ok, so to explain the top part of the page. recently qashqai1 changed Heike's design, hiving him short curly hair and huge forehead. it's a running joke that right now he looks like a sheep. so, his buddy, Kara, is giving him a sheep plushie^^; as good-willed teasing^^; the plushie is drawn from nature, because I owe two stuffed sheep XDDD

the bottom part includes Ryan and his super cool steam powered prosthetic arm, as well as Perith, his GF I suppose, and Zeida. who is giving me Olivier vibes and those are considered GOOD. because both of them are badass

so here you go dear! this is payback for so many wonderful pictures you've done of my kids! it's still not enough, but I tried! and consider it a birthday gift^^ I know it's early, but I'm impatient when it comes to giving others gifts^^;

ah I see. It's harder than we imagine sometimes to start doing the things we want. It's hard to hear a negative about something we have created. Sometimes that stops my hand too

well short story in this case (novel, i need to get back to that, speaking of being afraid of what people will think). The proof of that will be out within the month since it goes on sale by 8/15

for me it's not exactly about negatives. I can take critique, it's good for me because I can develope using such comments. for me it's more about lack of any responce at all, that's what usually hurts me the most.
